While my speculation may be unpopular, it is realistic.

Remember Eric Carter?
Or last years MVP - Antonio Warren?

How about if it was suggested one week ago that Chapdelaine would be OC for Esks?

nothing wrong with speculation, except you didnt make it sound like just speculation.

Personally I prefer to wait for official notification that he will not be resigned. I talked to him during the Lions Equipment sale as I purchased his helmet. He stated he hoped to sign with the Lions as he enjoyed playing here! I think he is a credit to the organization!

I talked to him(RT) at the sale as well. I got the same feeling. He's like Kidd, he wants to play football next season so why wouldn't he want to come back.

At the locker room sale I said I hope that he stays around next year and he said I hope so too. Let's hope that's a sign. :cr:

This may be my first post here, but trust me, my sources are very good. Jason submitted a contract proposal to the Lions' front office and he has not heard a reply since. He said that usually the contract is returned immedately, approved and signed.....not this time. His first choice will always be BC, and said he'd much rather be in the CFL than ever try for the NFL. I'm guessing that Wally's just playing the wait-and-see game and judge who's worthy of playing for BC after their option year.

I can see that as being correct, considering JC wasn't on the list of bonus signing players.

The real truth is, the lions asked Carl to stopp kidding around so much, and he said he would rather retire than change his name.

I know this to be true because I read it on another board

Actually, in White City for 2 more months, but a stones throw from Regina. Not interested in seeing anyone leave the
Lions.

I can't.

In fact, since you're a mod, I have an idea. Let's setup a seperate category for posting, called "Rider Fans Making Stupid JC Rumours" and, as posts like this one come up, we simply move the threads over there. Put it below Collectors Corner. This isn't riderfans.com, let's stop humoring idiots that make posts like this. ("My sources", tell me that the Lions are going to trade JC for Clifford Ivory, "my sources" tell me that JC and his wife just bought a condo in Regina, etc. etc.)

This crap gets old. Wally's on vacation at the moment, so nothing else is going to get done until after the new year, unless another coach up and quits. If LION82 wanted to talk about his contract situation, we could simply ask him, and at some point he'd come on and give us a tactful, diplomatic answer. Anyone who isn't trying to be a *poop* Disturber and make a Marty York style message board reputation, or any other poster not named Kenny that has spent more than five minutes at this site knows this.

You can trust me, my sources are VERY close to Jason himself. I am, in no way trying to stir anything. Just clearly stating that Jason (befor the Grey Cup) submitted his contract proposal and has heard nothing in reply. He's really not overly concerned, he said that he's loved living in BC and is really hoping to re-sign with the Lions. Clermont will never ask for a trade, he loves playing for BC way too much to do that. His hope is to retire a Lion, and as far as trying out the NFL in his option year...not going to happen. Jason is realistic has too much love for the game to just watch a game from the sidelines, he wants to play, but more importantly, for the Lions.

I really wouldn't worry too much about the possibility of Jason leaving.
