Thank-you, it is a quick turnaround between the Als/Lions game to the WDF, so I may as well ask now and get a few responses. If we were to win, which team do we want to see. It is hardly like the Hamilton thread about buying tickets for the EDF, but since it has been broached at this point, I really would enjoy the Riders taking out the Stamps, as GC tickets would be at a clearance price point (nothing to do with the Lions there, but I know what you are thinking) :).

:whs: About time some posted something like the above , was thinking about doing it myself a few times already . There is no such thing as karma . So getting that out of the way , IF BC gets past the Als , I too would want BC to play the Riders .

I don't care for the following reasons:
1)Expectations were so damn low, I think they've already exceeded them by making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
2)We beat Hamilton, a team that the team couldn't beat during the regular season
3a)Beating Sask is always fun, but wouldn't it be extra sweet to beat Calgary at McMahon for Lord Earl Grey's Mug?
3b)They'd also be the first crossover team to make it, and win the Grey Cup.

Can I vote for the BC Lions? If the Eastern Champions are supposed to face a Western team for the Grey Cup shouldn't that team be the Lions? That way we can't lose!

In point of fact I am an atheist - and I do not believe in karma, the tooth fairy, ghosts, aliens, leprechauns, spirits, elves, sprites, SPOILER ALERT: Santa Claus (sorry, many of you), phantasms, curses, jinxes, spells, seers, prophets, Tarot cards, clairvoyants, divining rods, voodoo, witch doctors, witches, garden gnomes that come alive at night, the bogeyman, the Man In The Moon, monsters under the bed, good luck loonies under the ice, lucky rabbit's feet, 9/11 conspiracies (yeah, yeah....wake up Sheeple), vampires, werewolves, old wives tales, Intelligent Design, that global warming is a hoax concocted by the New World Order, the good 5 cent cigar or the zillion other scams and figments of the human imagination. :hypno:

Normally I'm a student of sports math, and a stamper loss at the hands of the Lions is really getting amped up here. But for some reason I'm leaning riders. Having the stamper fans upset at no home game again I'm sure is part of it. Either was an all west final would be epic. :rockin:

I couldnt be able to handle a Riders, Lions final. I just couldn't...

In saying that, we match up a helluva lot better against the riders than the stamps...
It's a lose, lose sortof for me..
-Believes in building from the trenches outwards. A great O-Line and D-Line guarantees an above average team.
-A coach that has to give a motivational pregame speech is probably a coach that is insecure about his game plan.

Either matchup would be great, host team or Canada's team (according to some, anway). I'd just be thrilled to see the Lions in the Cup after their up-and-down season. However, I voted for the Riders for three reasons:

1. The Lions have no bigger rivals than the Riders. Attendance and TV ratings reflect this. I believe the B.C.-Saskatchewan game in October was the most-watched game of the season, despite a mid-afternoon start time on a Saturday.

2. The Lions match up well with the Riders. They've had much more success moving the ball on Saskatchewan and have capitalized on Rider turnovers.

3. It may be easier to get good prices on game tickets if Calgary isn't in it.

Hear, hear! Even a godless skeptic like me can google "hubris". Heck, if we dispatch Calvillo and company, then I say bring on the Saints for all I care. It'll all be downhill coasting after the Als!

Let's wait til 1:00 PM Sunday and then worry about who we play next, if it comes to that.

Steve? Oh, Steve?

I can guarantee you that wasn't karma spanking the Lions last Sunday, it had way too much force. :bang:
