Can the Lions maintain their momentum from the beating of the RedBlacks two weeks ago ? After a good start the Bombers have struggled of late losing their last 6 games in a row. One win in their remaining 3 games, clinches a playoff spot for the Lions.
The Lions are still alive in the hunt for second place in the West. A win in Winnipeg and an 8-point win in Edmonton next week would keep their second-place hopes alive heading into the final weekend of the season, and would no doubt help sell even more tickets for the finale against Calgary.

The question is "Can they?". The Lions showed some signs of life but teams coming off a 2 week break often show some rust and this team has looked rusty all season anyway. However, the Riders are faltering and I am thinking 3rd in the west is more desirable than 4th so there is the motivation.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.

Calgary certainly helped last night. Or was it Kerry Joseph?
Well, I was at the last Bomber game in WPG, so its going to be fun to watch the Lions play.
Anybody going to go to the viewing party @ Rosies on Robson? Not for me, I would rather watch @ home.
There are going to be lots of storylines coming out of this game too. IMO, the Bombers need it a bit more simply because they are out if they don't win but I'm sure the Lions will be playing with a similar urgency.....

Lions got to come up with a better name than a "viewing party" Sounds like a funeral.
Underway. Aragki called for UR on the opening kickoff, puts Wpg on their 39 for their 1st offensive series.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
Phillips drops what should have been an INT. Wpg 2 & out and punting.

BC starts on offence on its 25.

Bad (and early) snap. 3rd & 15, Schmitt punts. Wpg's 2nd series will start well into BC territory, near the 35.

Bighill sack puts Wpg in another 3rd down. Wpg FGA attempt coming up.

FG good, Wpg up 3-0.

Poor special teams with two costly penalties and awful coverage. Offence looking ill prepared and defence looking solid. First few minutes sums up Lions season.
BC takes the ball on the 35; Antolin picks up 4. Pos yds.
