Calgary 4-0 rolling along; Lions 2-3 inconsistent and stumbling along. Bo Levi Mitchell going for a record 8 straight wins after being named as starter. Return of Ricky Schmidt should help the Lions' field position game. Return of Khalif Mitchell should help with the pressure up front. Calgary will be without Nik Lewis and Jon Cornish. On paper Stamps should win. I expect BC to play a much better game than that disaster last week.

Leos need to start fast and play with the lead to get the Stamps to use less of the game....even with Cornish out that OLine opens gaping holes...play very very agressive physical football on offense & defense...special teams needs to pick up the slack...glad that Shimdt is back to punt

Calgary's offense hasn't been exactly lighting up the opposition the past couple of weeks without Cornish to offset the passing game. They can be had, but this once again is/should be a game that the Lions have to play error free ball, as the D's will dictate the eventual outcome. The one area that the Lions should win hands down is the ST game, which may prove to be the difference in the game as long as the Lions O can match or better the Stamps O.

This game won't be one for the fans who like the CFL wide oprn game, and that is fine for the Lions, as they don't have to entertain the crowd.
Entertainment value = an all time low

(not mocking, I completely agree with BC Fan) To pre-quote BCFan, the Lions have to win the turnover battle.......

I really hope our defence has a strong game and we can stop hearing about how Mitchell is 8-0 as a starter. I guess he won't be 8-0 as a starter (except possibly 8-0-1) after this game but what I mean is I want the Lions to be the team that hangs his first loss as a starter on him.

I won't add much other than that the Stamps can credit turnovers for their 4-0 record. Their offence hasn't been doing much without Cornish. Last week 20 of their 26 points came off turnovers. Enough said on that point.

The Lions' roster changes will be interesting to watch. Khalif Mitchell draws back into the starting lineup in pace of Jabar Westerman, who is expected to be scratched due to personal issues, according to LU (more here). The Lions didn't get much push up the middle from Mitchell when he was in the lineup. He can be dominant when he wants to be. Steven Doege is added to the roster for the first time this year as the sixth man in the DL rotation. Brandon Jordan moves to the injured list.

Torri Williams returns to the lineup as dimeback, replacing John Hardy-Tuliau, who returns to the practice roster.

Jermarcus Hardrick starts at LG ahead of Kirby Fabien. T-Dre Player moves to the injured list.

Ricky Schmitt returns to handle punts and kickoffs. Tim Brown is expected to be scratched.

So we get to see the end results of the 'sushi diet' that Mitchell has used to lose SEVENTEEN pounds. Hope he has a good solid game....

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

No deep handoff here, please.

Another 2014 first as Iannuzzi makes his first catch this year. For a 1D.

It's early, but the offensive line is giving time for Glenn to throw
