Can't afford it. $175/head is a little out of my price range.

Hey Christa, I was actually looking for more info on the Grey Cup dinner. My friend and fellow Lions fan (my buddy Ed, who I met through the group I first started getting seasons tickets with in 2004) and I was going to get him a ticket (and one for myself) for his birthday present, however I don't have too many details about it. Would love to go though for sure!

Also, just to add to some other aspects of the thread, yes, the 2005 calendar was the smaller one, and the '06/'07 one was the longer, bigger one with the wire coil top. (I actually liked that format better, the picture is bigger and there is no fold in the middle of it.) Both calendars were great, although I favour the '06/'07 one. (which is on my wall as we speak/type.)

I think you ladies all looked amazing in them, and I am glad to hear that you had so much fun in Mexico shooting this years! I can't wait to see it! It's great to see the club putting so much into the Felions and taking such good care/treating you so well. I really like the direction the whole organization is headed. I also think it's very appropriate that the '06 Felions are going to be getting Grey Cup rings! That Western Final last year @ BC Place you ladies had 50,000 people on their feet making so much noise the Riders took FOUR penalties which cost them downs, time and field position. That was key! :rockin: That just shows that your job is much more than just looking gorgeous for us on the sidelines, you have a role, you CAN effect the outcome of a game, and you were definetly a part of that suscessful Grey Cup run! I think those rings are well deserved by you all, and that you will wear them well :) Hope to be there to see you presented with them.

GO LIONS GO!!

p.s. Christa, you have like the most beautiful eyes ever ;)

Wow - what a nice reply - thank you so much for the wonderful comments.

If you bought your seasons tickets this year you should have gotten information about the Greycup dinner. I do believe it is in coquitlam at a casino and the tickets will run you about 175 each. All the felions from 2006 and 2007 will be there - the rookies this year will be working at the event. It should be a great night. If you have any questions you should contact head office.

As for the calander this year - like I said - it will be your standard square size calander (a bit bigger than two years ago). The calander will feature the 20 girls who went to mexico along with a centrefold of the whole team. Also the 14 girls who did not come to Mexico have their own little treat in store for you all. Make sure you keep your eyes on the website (i will keep you all posted on here as well)

Well I cant wait for this new season - it has been so exciting so far. See you all at Fanfest and at the field June 15th.

ChristaMichelle wrote:Hmmm - Shi Zi Mi - You must have the calander from two years ago when it was smaller. I saw the other cheerleaders calanders last year and ours was bigger from what I can remember. Last years calander was longer and had a coiled top - I think that you will all be impressed with this years calander. It was a lot of fun to shoot and I am really looking foward to seeing the finished product.
Afraid not......I have 5 different team 2006/2007 calendars purchased during GC week in Winnipeg.........on the Felions calendar(coiled top), you share April with Tara.

Not a big deal...........just an observation that the Felions calendar is the smallest of the 5.

So the support staff including the Felions will be getting Grey Cup rings after all. That answers my question from last November. I suppose the rings they will be getting will be similar to the ones seen here? I guess for women, the pendants and earrings might be more appropriate as the rings shown in the catalog are definitely men's championship rings. Women's championship rings usually have a different design.

And I suppose as a Lions staff member, Lui Passaglia will receive his fourth Grey Cup ring?

Speaking of which, it's sad to see that Tara is not returning. I guess she didn't make the cut this year. :bawl:

Rookie night. Just might have to rustle up the Smphantom and get out to the Red Robinson. BB

Since it is held at a casino and there will be a cocktail reception, I'm assuming that it will be an adults only event.
Here is a very informative web page on the event:

Ahhh - I cant believe that our calander was one of the smallest - must have been one of the more awkward ones to carry - we had a lot of negative feedback as fas as how big the calander was compared to the year before - hence the reason why we are changing the format this year - anyways like you said not a big deal.

As for the greycup rings - they will be very different from the ones that were featured in the season ticket holders brochure. I am very excited to see them. Our game day operator Jenn Graham designed them.

Well, none of the complaining about the size came from me. I quite liked last years calendar, I prefer the one big page with the coil top, as there is no fold (or staples) in the middle of the picture that way.

Nevertheless, am looking foreword to seeing the one! In the end it's who's in it, not the size of it that matters ;)

Sorry if this reply seems a little delayed, but I was certain I posted a reply to this days ago. However, I don't see it here now.

Alls I was going to say was that you're very welcome Christa ;)

Hmm, well it would appear that my reply to this one is also absent from the thread. I sent you a message elsewhere with further details though.

In short, would love to be there, but it is currently up in the air pending some last minute details.

GO LIONS GO!!

*Hopefully these posts start to stick.

Ummmm......isn't your reply to Christa's question on the second post of this page 2, dated Fri May 25, 2007 3:49 am?

Yes, that's one of them, but I posted another one (or at least I thought I did) in reply to her response on Saturday sometime. Oh well, no worries. Maybe I just had too much Alexander Keiths  Friday night and was a few braincells short on Saturday lol

Hi Christa,

Have you and the Felions received any information on the 2007 Grey Cup Cheer Extravaganza event? Although the Grey Cup events page has been updated, no information about the cheer extravaganza event has been posted yet.

And I suppose what's good for the Felions with the Grey Cup being held in indoor Rogers Centre is that you will be able to wear your regular uniforms instead of having to dress up in toques and parkas the way you had to at outdoor Canad Inns Stadium in Winnipeg last year.
