what a great game. missed the first 15 minutes and by then it was one nothing Canada on an easy goal by Beckie with a great assist by Sinclair, but then they were down to 10 on the field. They proceeded to play an excellent 10 woman game and a great goal by Sinclair with a great assist by Fleming made it 2-0.

Oh yeah, who did they beat you might ask. 10th ranked Canada beat 5th rank Aussies.

As much as I enjoy the men's world football, I enjoy the women's better.

didn't do nearly as well as they should have against Zimbabwe. Great first half, not so much for the second half.

Hope the first half team shows up against Germany tomorrow.

wow, Canada goes 4-0 with a costly 1-0 win over france.

allysha chapman out with shoulder problems. One of the top players.

Now they have to face Germany again. Can they do it twice? Its a long shot, specially if chapman cannot play.

bummer.

TC leads the tournament with the most cards per game. Not good.

Too many cards, fouls and penalties given finally came back to bite them

Germany win 2-0, sigh

Didn't help that there was no Allysha Chapman.

Still, regardless of what happens on Friday, the women already over achieved for this Olympics and deserve kudos all around.

Shouldn't have had to play Germany again before the final, if then. Odds of beating them twice was very low to begin with.

Cheering for the swedes to win the gold

and a quick and complete recovery for AC. no, not that one

I didn't expect Canada to beat #2 ranked Germany twice in the same tournament.

bravo ladies. 5 wins in 6 games. 4 wins against higher ranked teams. 1 loss to a much higher ranked team that they had already beat. A much deserved bronze medal and full value for it. very proud of these women and for the most part, much enjoyment watching them play. good to see chapman back into the game. looking forward to next tournament.
