I suspect Printers is signing the same three-year contract every time they activate him from the practice roster. I'm not sure how NFL contracts work, but if he's not released again by the time the Chiefs' season ends, he might not be free to return to the CFL in 2007.

They did this to fill a roster spot. Any NFL contract is day to day - they have signed him to two other three year contracts, and cut him both times. I am not sure why this one means so much.

I'm not sure of the inner workings of NFL contracts either, so I thought that this deal was for real. We'll soon find out I guess!
