Re: Lions - Stampeders, Post-Game Stats and Comments
I had a feeling the Lions would win today, and wow did they ever pull through. I’m sorry guys, but Lulay is soo much better than Jennings; his confidence, poise and level headed demeanor is at such a high level and the entire team feeds of his calmness and positive energy. So happy that Lulay is bac...

Re: Leos vs Argos and Game Day Thread
I’ve never been a big fan of Jennings to be honest, and I’m not sold on him as our starter. Hope he proves me wrong during the next 5 games, but I won’t be surprised if Hervey gets rid of him in the off season and finds a way for Mike Reilly to play for us in 2019. That’d be pretty cool.

Re: Alessia Cara to perform Freedom Mobile Grey Cup Halftime Show
Thanks ZLions. It's great to hear the perspective from someone who is Ambrosie's "target market". You are the future of the game, if it's to have one (after us old fogies retire to our rocking chairs). Appreciate it. I really hope their is a future. The Lions (and entire CFL for that matt...

Re: Alessia Cara to perform Freedom Mobile Grey Cup Halftime Show
22 year old here. Alessia Cara ain’t too bad, she’s decently popular among my age group. Her songs are regularly on the radio. Here’s her top two hits, with 149 million and ~100 million YouTube views: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UKp2CrfmVfw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Em7vc8NWUNY (Some of you ma...

Re: Lions - TiCats, Post- Game Stats and Comments
Wow!!! Best game of the season by far! After the incomplete pass on the 3rd and 2 with a little over a minute left...damn how can one not appreciate the CFL? And lol to all those fans who left the stadium after that, always support your team till the very end. Big ups to Jennings, Burnham, and Wally...

Re: Our Leos Head East to Play Montreal
In regards to Rich Stubler, didn’t he get fired due to the Lions defence underperforming in the ‘12 and ‘13 playoffs? If I recall correctly, in 2012 Calgary burned us whenever he decided to go full blitz, and in 2013 Stubler couldn’t adjust to Darian Durants fourth quarter runs down the middle, whic...

Re: Potential New Receivers for BC
Import receiver Javontee Herndon, who has been out of football for more than a year, lasted only one day with the Lions. Herndon had already signed a contract to play in the Alliance of American Football and the CFL plans to honour deals signed in the proposed new league. Looks like they will be lo...

Re: Potential New Receivers for BC
According to Dave Naylor this morning, the Lions are interested in DeVier Posey. He played the last two seasons with the Argos before joining the Baltimore Raven's training camp this season. He had 744 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns last year, and had 175 yards in the Grey Cup. https://www.tsn.ca...

Re: New Angus Reid Poll: CFL vs NFL
Interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong; around 2010ish (if I recall correctly), the results were that 80% of all football fans in Canada follow the CFL, while 55% follow the NFL. With the leagues being split now, that's a little disheartening. Positive yes in many ways as you have pointed out, but a b...

Re: Leos vs Riders, Preview and Game Day Thread
I don’t think the Leos played too badly, there were a lot of things they did pretty well actually. We just couldn’t make the big play when it mattered. Our defence in the second half played well enough for us to win, but our offence on the other hand just couldn’t get anything going. On a side note,...

Re: Carter released from Riders
Maybe Duron will sign with an NFL team? According to Chris Jones back in January, Duron had a few offers from NFL teams that he turned down in order to stay with the Riders. Maybe the NFL is still interested? http://www.3downnation.com/2018/01/10/riders-duron-carter-turned-down-contract-offers-from-...

Re: Lions vs. Eskimos and Game Day Thread, August 9, 2018
If the Leos win and play entertaining football next Saturday in Toronto, then they should be well-positioned for the following Saturday here against the Riders. With both clubs close in the standings, and it being a Saturday night game, I would expect a crowd in the 22,000-24,000 range. But they ha...

Re: Lions 31 - Eskimos 23, Post-Game Stats and Comments
I may be in the minority here, but I have faith in Mark Washington and our defence. I know it’s only one game, but they’ve shown us they’re capable of shutting down one of the best offences in the league when they really want to. I fully believe that this season will be our best since like 2012 or 2...
