I also like the idea of changing the seating configuration to closing off end zones, and opening upper deck between the goal lines.
Does anyone know what capacity this would be?
(upper and lower bowl, between the goal lines only)

'It's like I said' ;}, just throwing it out there, trying to think outside the box.
Any other ideas to attract and grow a younger and larger audience to CFL home games?

Re: Lions popularity and coverage is heating up all across c
Does the CFL need some sort of official association with the NFL in order to attract some of the youinger demographic? For example, each CFL team become some sort of farm club for an NFL team? (realizing the numbers don't match up on number of club teams in each league) I can't help but think if the...

Re: Leos/Bombers Rematch
Lions marketing dept. should be pulling out the stops, doing whatever it takes to fill the lower bowl for Friday night. The setup for this match couldn't be better, up to them to now capitalize on it. A great crowd and atmosphere would set up nicely for remaining 2 games against classic Western riva...

Re: Lions popularity and coverage is heating up all across c
Attendance woes seem to be league wide this season, particularly bad in the major cities. Unfortunate as Leos are giving us such an entertaining product. Locally I agree that Skulksy and company have to look very hard at what they're doing, then change it, drastically. Lower end zones seats for next...

I agree that the 'Dewalt' era uniforms are the best overall set that the Leos have ever had.
I'm betting those new white are updated by next season.

you have a point on those goofy sleeve stripes, it's because the player cut is so tight i guess.
still that yoke thing always really bugged me - good riddance!

Re: Uniform Poll Question - Reebok or Adidas?
One final comment from a hardcore uni-geek: I was thrilled to see they finally got rid of the stupid 'yoke' style stitiching around the shoulders (that Reebok introduced in 2004). It always made the fan versions look a bit odd, and most other CFL teams were smart to avoid this style. These new jerse...

Re: Uniform Poll Question - Reebok or Adidas?
I'm betting that these new road uniforms don't last more than a season, maybe two, before they're updated (with more black detailing in them.)

Re: Uniform Poll Question - Reebok or Adidas?
i agree that gun metals unis would have great if they great orange numbers. in fact i plan on numbering my freebie gun metal jersey that way. anyone else think they should have gone with orange cages on black helmets? (like the 70's throwback we had at Empire Field - outstanding lids!) never been a ...

Re: Uniform Poll Question - Reebok or Adidas?
Let me be the first to make the comparison of the new helmet logo to the Canucks Free Willy logo. Thumbs down. Some other thoughts: Homes: I like the general orange/black look, a real tip of the hat to the Meralomas. I guarantee though that people will complain about the readability of the black num...

Mcgee paid tribute to Jarious Jackson, master of the goal line fumble. This team is a joke.

Re: NEW BC PLACE 5 YEARS OLD
I am one of those that envies the new Hamilton and Ottawa style stadiums, however any thoughts of that here will not happen in the foreseeable future, Lenarduzzi was quoted a couple weeks ago as having no plans to follow up on waterfront stadium plan, being very happy at BC Place. I believe BC Place...

Re: Cgy Flames unveil $890M downtown arena/stadium plan
Good to hear for Stamps/CFl fans, I was wondering when Calgary would take action on their outdated facility.
The only thing that seemed odd was stating that the stadium would have a roof, no mention of it being retractable.
I can't see a covered football stadium being attractive to Calgarians.
