Will the new roofed BC Place have a natural grass field?

If they do play on grass, then I think they will need a new floor with drainage and maybe irrigation as well. Things could get pricey.

Re: Report: Wake wants out of his contract

At this point we don't know what Wally offered to CW. We do know that it is Lions policy to sign rookies to 2+1, so If I'm Wally I would have offered CW what I thought he was worth and would be happy with on a 2+1 as well as offering a 1+1 for way, way below market value just to satisfy league rules...

Re: any merit to this idea, re canadian QBs

If you are a high school QB in Canada with aspirations to play professional football after collage, then you had better switch to another position. With that in mind, the best athletes in CIS football are not the QBs. What the CFL should do is completely exempt NI QBs from the salary cap even if the...

Dave Ritchie is on record, earlier this year I think, as saying that he is still interested in being a Head Coach in the CFL again. So I don't think he is ready to retire. As far as his D not being as effective or edgy as in the past. I don't really buy it as the D carried the team and set up the O ...

I'll be taking the day off work to watch in HD with my gf who was born in Regina. So even though I'll cheer for the Riders, I don't mind if Milt gets a Grey Cup ring.

Hey Vern, don't you know that David Braley bribes the CFL to let the Lions pipe in canned sound, go beyond the salary cap, fire commissioner Tom whatshisname and bring in his son-in-law Mark Cohon to do his bidding. How many "I read it on the internet so it must be true" people are there i...

Be sure to thank the Rider Prophet for all Rider fans who will be at BC Place thinking they are supporting their Riders. But they are actually giving their money to David Braley and supporting the BC Lions for the 10s of thousands of tickets that they buy for the western Final.

While I think BC matches up better against the Stamps than the Riders, I hope Riders make it to the WF because there are a lot more Riders fans in Van than Stamps fans. Thus a better chance of a sellout vs Riders and I love to see Riders fans giving their money to BC for a seat in the Dome.

NFL fans in TO who refuse to go to Buffalo for Bills games will end up paying thru the nose to see the Bills play in TO. A 50,000 seat stadium in TO vs a 80,000 seat stadium in Buffalo guarantees it. Then if the CDN dollar drops in value it will get even more costly to see a game in TO.

Wally went over to the TV crew side line guy before the start of the half and told him about JJ's injury. He didn't give the media a chance to start a quarterback controversy.

Glad Buck got some playing time as he needs to be game ready as starters this year all seem to be one play away from injury. JJ had his best first half so far. On the Foley TD, the replay and TV crew really showed JJ tucking the ball out of sight, behind his hips, after the fake hand off. Exceptiona...

The Josh Boden "fumble" was completely baffling. As soon as the ball came out the whistle blew before anyone could recover it so the call on the field was down by contact. Somehow the refs changed the play to a fumble and then said there was no conclusive video. What I saw on video was one...

Wally's answer made me smile as his evaluation method is the least scientific, least analytical and most fuzzy yet he has had great success at developing quarterbacks. Taiman's response was the most surprising as I consider the touchdown passes/interception ratio to be the most useless stat in footb...

The Lions need to be more assertive in their ticket sales/marketing by going head to head with the Canucks. Example: Lions are consistent performers, tickets are better priced and excellent seats are available in the upper deck. Last time I checked, Canucks tickets are not really available as they s...
