Re: Lions' receivers

Adding Patmon makes 20 wr on the roster headed for camp give or take a few that may yet be added or sent packing. The anticipation of which one steps into the starting role is already quite intriguing. To think there might be two new faces with little to no tape for teams to study could lend itself ...

Re: Question re: Winnipeg Stadium

Then again if I was working with Hambone's budget I might consider the club seats. IMO Bombers are not immune to declining attendance issues any more than other teams. They give away large blocks of tickets on a regular basis to pump up the numbers. Seldom are the upper corners full on games shown o...

Re: Question re: Winnipeg Stadium

Hi all. Looking into going to see a road game in Winnipeg this summer. Has anyone here been to IG Field (Now apparently Princess Auto Stadium) and have any tips on seats. I haven’t been able to find where (which side / end) the visitors bench is. Thoughts appreciated. I've been to Princess Auto Sta...

Re: Lions' receivers

Searching the exclusive negotiation window states that once a player declares he wants to play in the CFL the rights holder has 10 days to offer him an ELC where upon they retain his rights for another calender year. It's a ridiculous rule 100% in favor of the team. I saw posted on another forum tha...

Realized my mistake 10 seconds after hitting submit and didn't think of deleting the post before now. I'm not a big starter of threads and did search before proceeding. Probably posting more often than I need to be as is. Mods can either delete the thread or move it over and my apologies for the err...

Re: Lions' receivers

One thing I noticed about Lulay vs Jon Jennings is how he used to use the entire receiving corp. The open man got the ball. With Jennngs it seemed two receivers got most of the targets. Reilly was kind of the same way. V.A. has his own style that despite being effective sometimes appears related to ...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024

I think supply and demand worked in the Lions' favour for this event. The Redblacks are a tough sell at B.C. Place. With limited supply in Victoria, the Lions put a premium price on tickets. I'm not going to the game so I gave back my two tickets, which cost $25 each as a season ticketholder. The m...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024

Nice to see the enthusiastic response to ticket sales but I can't se the advantage for the Lions when they could have sold 10,000 more tickets hosting the game at B.C. Place. Willing to let the accountants figure it out though and happy for the people of Vancouver Island.

Re: Lions' receivers

Agreed. Carter and Odell Willis were free spirits who were allowed to express their individualism and do what they wanted in Devone Claybrooks' laid-back country club. They were expected to be team leaders but they were allowed to get away with things that would not be tolerated by most coaches, in...

Re: Lions' receivers

Yeah, Claypool has NFL level talent, but from where I sit it appears he does not have pro football maturity. I don't think his ego would allow him to play in the CFL. I don't follow the NFL close enough to know if Claypool gets another chance and if he does what kind of chance it will be. Doubtful ...

Re: Lions' receivers

I guess Chase Claypool would have to sign an ELC as a National which makes it even more unlikely but for a guy who could use a fresh start the Lions might be his best available opportunity . Mom's home cooking and watchful eye won't hurt and it might be fun for him. I do believe he is looking at fre...

Re: Yikes! Lions 2024 potential free agents

At least with everyone at the combine we are getting a little bit of media coverage. Interesting story in 3DN about Hamilton making a 2 year $275,000 per year offer to Oliviera that was turned down. $80,000 more than he agreed to with the Bombers. Significant gesture by the player imo. Also mentions...

Re: Yikes! Lions 2024 potential free agents

3 Down Nation provide some insight from McElvoy and Campbell on their big free agent offer to Brady Oliveira and how the consolation prize was at least driving up the price for the Bombers. What goes around comes around. Bombers did the same thing when the Lions signed Sukh Chung. What is good is t...

Re: CFL Coaching & GM Changes for 2024

Nice move by the Ti-Cats to add McCarty imo. He'll know John Tuck from his playing days with Ante Litre on the roster as well. I could see McCarty progressing and someday maybe being a head coach. It's what the CFL needs imo. Cats are starting to look like an Ed Hervey team with more to come being m...
