Ironically ... it could work against keeping CP here long term if we end up riding him into the playoffs and the Lions are successful. Already ... there are 6 teams down south interested in him with Miami supposedly leading the way. His resum? could look even better if he led the Lions to the Grey C...

the Canucks/Avs game is the first time the two teams have played since you-know-when actually - the canucks play in colorado 2 nights before. it isn't nearly as significant as people are making it out to be. Nope ... they're at home against Phoenix. It is the first meeting between the two teams. ht...

Should the start time for the Oct. 22 game be moved up?

Weekend SportsTalk host Jeff Patterson suggests the Lions will be losing out on at least 5,000 fans for the Oct. 22 home game against Winnipeg that will be going head-to-head with Avalanche-Canucks game at GM Place. Patterson added the fact it very well could be a mean nothing game will make it even...

The 2004 team would win because it would be Wally Buono and Steve Buratto vs Wally Buono and Jaques Chapelaine. Both OC's are gifted but the 2004 team has the offence that is required to stretch the 2005 defensive secondary. It would be interesting to say the least. But throw the "30" def...

As mentioned ... defence and special teams much improved.

DD would also pick apart Arslanian's non-pressure defence.

Orange Simon (me)
Orange Youth Clermont (son)

The orange home has actually grown on me. Still not crazy about the all white helmets.

Outdoor (covered sideline seats) 35,000 capacity with ability expand to 50,000 for playoff games and Grey Cups.

? The indoor/outdoor thing doesn't bother me as much as how a smaller capacity stadium would put a greater premimum on season tickets and be better for the Lions' long term future.

Based on the years ahead of them ... Jackson and Glatt are solid and safe choices.

But I went with Floyd ... clearly an underrated player who is enjoying an outstanding season. The speed he showed on the TD saving tackle on the missed FG was impressive.

Felions choreographer Moe Brody is noted one of the best in the B.C. in what she does. She also instructs at the dance academy my daughter attends. Hip Hop is huge right now among teenage girls and cheer/dance competitions continue to grow each year at the high school level. I'm sure a lot of the gi...

I don't get it either. Bob Ackles recently said that David Braley will likely make money for the first time this year. :?DH 8) Ackles comment completely contradicts what was reported several times at the end of last season that Braley did indeed make money ... especially after drawing 55,000 for th...

The Lions held a press conference a few weeks ago regarding their 2005 marketing plans which included a calendar, similar to the Canucks one put out by Shopper's Drug Mart. Likely one of their game day giveaways this season. And I don't see a problem releasing a calendar at the start of the football...

Leaning towards an #81 orange at this time ... I prefer the alternate out of the three options but I have a feeling we won't be seeing it for a while. Likely the week the Lions plan on wearing it for the first time. Geroy didn't seem to be a big fan of the orange jerseys on TV. Jay Janower asked for...

Comrie was a very good owner ... he tried a lot of things but they just didn't always work out :sigh: I echo your thoughts D. Comrie was a solid owner who did a lot of things right including a ton of giveaways (hats, radios, travel bags) to try and bring in extra fans. He also hired the right peopl...
