Well you are wrong...... :toss: :pass: :toss: I hope so :cr:[/quote] It's basically impossible to sign a "1 year and you're a free agent" contract in the CFL. If you sign a 1 year deal it's a 1 + 1. If you sign a 3 year deal it's 3 + 1. The "option" has always been the club's op...

i think acree was a decent receiver but i don't know if he made the esks receving corps that much better. I agree, he will be a solid fill in, but shouldn't come back to bite us. "Funny that Chaps would take him on and him sign there, given that he rarely saw the field under Chapdelaine as a L...

ummmm......why would they consider using 20,202Percival Molson when they have a 65,000 seat facility available? Can you say $600 to $700/seat to generate the same revenue? It's been discussed before that bigger may not necessarily be better and outdoor stadiums have been temporarily expanded for ca...

Speaking of the stadium capacity issue, we all know that the Alouettes move into Olympic Stadium for their playoff games and the Grey Cup if they are hosting it. But I wonder if the GC organizers in Montreal have considered using 20,202 seat Percival Molson Memorial Stadium for the Grey Cup? On a d...

How come I can't see anything?
The picture was dated Sept.13, 1970. That was the Paul Brothers era. There were no highlights to replay. ;-)

It appears that condition #1 automatically disqualifies many NFL cities. Kudos to the CFL for not having these conditions, allowing all eight (or nine) cities to host the Grey Cup every couple of years. If the CFL had those conditions Lord Earl Grey's goblet would be sitting in a closet in the back...

It was funny reading how this was the 'first' time it rained heavily during the Superbowl, it struck me at how young the Superbowl is compared to the Grey Cup. I thought to myself "If they haven't had a downpour before, then I guess a mud or fog bowl is out of the question!" Really depend...

One small detail re: Murphy. He is an option year player meaning he is still under contract to BC for 2007. BC doesn't have to sign him to anything right now. Murphy is now 30 meaning opportunities will not be that readily available given his years of service would have him at a minimum salary of $5...

the difference is that manning is apparently a "world champion" and dickenson a grey cup champion? this has always bugged me a bit!! That bugs me too but that is so typical. They love to proclaim themselves as "World Champions" in football and baseball. I'm surprised that the NB...

According to Rick Dhaliwal... next week. ?Lions will open on the road against Toronto. ?home opener against the Edmonton. ?2 summer home games are scheduled for Thursday night which Braley is not pleased about and is trying to change. Did they perhaps leak a date for that road game at Toronto? From...

Maybe it'll be like McCovey Cove with guys with kayaks and fishing nets floating around waiting for souvenir footballs or soccer balls to come sailing into the drink.

FIFA has set minimum and maximum field dimensions for play. There is no set field size for soccer. FIFA's "Laws of the Game" shows a fairly liberal range of dimensions but they become more stringent for International Matches. According to FIFA's "Laws of the Game": The field of ...

I think the legal thing would only work if the two employers were in the same country. No, simply because contract law is contract law. The individual who signed the deal is responsible under the laws of the country in which the contract was signed. It is still a non-performance of the contract law...

Through various inefficiencies, running BC Place is widely believed to be costing BC taxpayers $4 million annually despite the fact that it's booked for more dates than most North American stadiums. DH 8) The dollar figure being bandied about for the taxpayer's contribution to BC Place can be taken...

I can't see there being any more events in the 80s than there is now and the Lions actually played one less home game then. Only partly true. They still had 10 home dates prior to 1986. Up until they switched from a 16 game schedule to 18 games they had played 4 exhibition games instead of the curr...
