Re: Get Him The Damn Ball!
2 games later, same results. 7 receptions for 84 yards. 5 games without a TD now. On pace for 60 receptions, 888 yards, 6 TDs. We seem to be the only team that's unable to get our biggest weapon the football. Not good enough. Let's blame the O-Line for the QB's inability to get our biggest weapon t...

Re: Jarious Jackson: Leadership and Character - Mike Beamish
Did Bishop outplay Jarious? Nah. Did Bishop win the game for the Bombers? Nah. The O Line (fantastic job) and Reid won it for them. If JJ had more time he might have put more points on the board. But the key thing IMO was the unstoppable rushing attack of the Bombers, and our unprepared defence to ...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
So once again , if I'm reading this correctly , Casey Printers would have won the game for us last night . All would have been good then , no 300+ yds rushing would have been given up becuase somehow CP would have boosted the whole team . It was not the 300+ rushing yards that were the big problem ...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
JJ only lost one fumble, that was late in the game when he got rocked fighting for extra yards, and even that came under review. For those that think we could have won last night's game with better quarterbacking or that Jarious Jackson was the problem last night need to give your heads a shake. DH...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
Of course they can get the ball away...they have the protection and the time to find their receivers. JJ had neither all night. He was constantly under pressure, no time to set and throw all night. JJ was not the problem, not last night. Dude, go back and re-watch the game. JJ was the problem on of...

Re: So What Now?
I also want to point out that the Lions have thrown 16 interceptions in 8 games this year. How can the QB position NOT be an area of concern? When you're giving up at least 2 turnovers per game (sprinkling in a fumble here and there) of course you're going to struggle.

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
I put this blowout on our defensive and offensive schemes, namely the "No-LB set" and the "No-RB set". Too often we had no LB's, as they were at the LOS getting caught up in the wash...or off in pass coverage. Wpg rushed for a 10 yd avg because there was nobody there to stop the...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
JJ wasn't the problem last night, it was his lack of protection from the O-line that caused our offensive problems. It's so easy to blame the QB, but last night, he wasn't the problem. Actually no, he was one of the problems. The O-Line wasn't that bad at all. Jackson was only sacked what, once? He...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
Piling on this team after this debacle is about as helpful as watching that film would be for this lot. Jarius and the Lions opened super. Got that early TD and then instead of settling it down on offence and made an effort to establish some rhythm in their offence it was bombs away and predictabil...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
Because JJ doesn't play defense " mr.objective" . I bet the mighty Casey woulda pulled it off. Dude, incase you didn't notice we only scored 10 points. Not even the Alouettes held the Bombers to under 10 points in their last game. :bang: I don't know about you, but I consider Jario...

Re: So What Now?
As usual fans give too little credit to the opposing team. As a neutral observer, I thought Winnipeg played a heck of a game, but I wonder why the Lions couldn't ever adjust to stop the run? They knew they were going to get rammed down their throats and never did anything about it. The tide has tur...

Re: Bombers 37 - Lions 10 Post Game Stats and Comments
To me that was JJs first start. Once he begins to settle in with his receivers, it will get better. Fan boards = Objectivity FAIL. Agreed. It's unbelieveable how much blind love and how many passes people give Jarious just because he can throw the deep ball. It's like ZOMG Jarious won gamezzz in 20...

Re: Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ BC Lions - August 21, 2009 GDT
They were not all his fault. From what I could see, two of the picks were just one of those things. Oh come on! Enough with the blind love for Jarious around here. He just plain sucked last night. ONE of those picks you can give him a pass for because it was a freak play, but the other TWO and the ...

Re: Jarious Jackson: Leadership and Character - Mike Beamish
He'd definitely be on my list, but at this point his initials could be DD, DA, hell even GC, KA, JK or DF. Just not JJ.TheLionKing wrote:

Re: Jarious Jackson: Leadership and Character - Mike Beamish
Well I wonder how JJ feels about staying in for as long as he did to get a feel for the game now? I have to say that it wasn't all his fault, but when the D is reeling like that, the O has to step it up sooner, or watch the D get over worked to the point of allowing over 150 yards or possibly a tad...
