Re: Lions @ Alouettes. Game Day Thread. Eastern Semi-Final
Well this game has sucked. Between Lions doing nothing, cold, my son being pretty uncomfortable and everyone smoking everywhere (yay Montreal), don't think we'll be sticking around much. :(

Mascot just hassled me and scared my son, heh. Think I'm the only Lion supporter here.

Re: Lions @ Alouettes. Game Day Thread. Eastern Semi-Final
OK, folks, leaving for Montreal in a bit. Look for a BC flag hanging down in the first row, near the northwest corner (the side attached to McGill buildings). My wife is a Montrealer but says she's being impartial. We'll have a baby with us, and he has a T-shirt waiting for him when he's big enough ...

Re: Montreal vs lions semi final ticket count
I have tickets for the 1st row toward the northwest corner, and there were tons available when I got them Sunday evening. They are definitely overpriced -- anything at all central is in the $100 range, no matter how far back. Directly behind the eastern end zone is $36, and those are the cheapest. I...

Re: Lions at Alouettes, Game Day Thread, November 22, 2009
Baltimore was built from the ground up, an expansion team no less, and even with relocating to Montreal and being "forced" to add Canadians to their roster they've been the most successful CFL franchise over the past 15 years. It's quite remarkable that they have never really had a "...

Re: Lions at Alouettes, Game Day Thread, November 22, 2009
That was 14 years ago. Give them credit for being able to sustain their success... Teams that are already good or have a positive reputation always have it a lot easier in terms of attracting fans ( = money), top players, coaching talent, etc. It will never cease to be a factor for the Alouettes un...

Re: Lions at Alouettes, Game Day Thread, November 22, 2009
We should give the Als credit, I will give the Als credit when I give the Colorado Avalanche credit -- when they have to build a team from the ground up like everybody else, rather than benefiting from the organic growth of having relocated the best team in the league. The Renegades would probably ...

How do the Lions let a pudgy 73-year old get those kind of gains against them?

Re: Hamilton fans & Ivor Wynn Security - - Pure Garbage
The question I have is why is bottles and cans permitted in the stands ? Liquor laws. I think BC is the most uptight province when it comes to liquor laws, which frankly I'm sort of happy about. Ivor Wynne is also a physically small stadium. If you were sitting front row behind the benches, you cou...

Re: Lions 34 - TiCats 27 Post Game Stats and Comments
What section were you sitting in? Section 22, in the corner. By no means am I suggesting that the majority of fans around us were like that, I should point out. Though a large number were cheering injuries to Lions (which I thought tasteless), the ones hurling bile were only a handful, and the guy ...

Re: East Division Final
I am thinking driving the 5 and half hours to Montreal from Toronto for the East Final next Sunday. Does anyone have any idea how many tickets have been sold yet? Also has anyone ever been to a game at Olympic Stadium? I'm looking for information on parking, restaurants, all that stuff. Anything wo...
