Re: 2015 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
To illustrate how far attendance has slipped at BC Place... the last 3 years the Lions have played in Toronto, the Argos have averaged 20,396 fans at Rogers Centre (2014- 18,283 / 2013- 20,064 / 2012- 22,841) And here we are with just 20,085 tonight. Wake up Dennis Skulsky !!! Moronic pricing for a...

Re: 22,000 sold for home opener
I always kind of thought Scott Ackles was being slowly groomed to take over his dad's position, ever since he left the President job in Calgary to take the job of GM of the 2011 Grey Cup fetival. But that hasn't happened. I do think Skulsky is failing as the President. All he does is find excuses f...

Re: Lions 35 - Riders 32 -- Post Game Stats and Comments
About the objectionable conduct penalty, the rule as written is clear and the penalty call is automatic. The players know that. There are no excuses for taking that penalty. The coach can challenge defensive pass interference. If a player thinks there was interference, he can look to the sideline a...

Re: 22,000 sold for home opener
LOL, Wally was on with Bro Jake and Pratt this morning and he mentioned the fact that there are still a lot of good tickets left "which in a way for me is a little bit disappointing (because) it's the home opener, we didn't play here in the preseason, the fact that Travis is having his first s...

Re: 22,000 sold for home opener
Things aren't going to improve in B.C. until Braley sells that team. He has no vision or long-term plan for the Lions and, while you can blame Skulsky all you want, the buck ultimately stops with Braley. The future looks much brighter in Toronto without Braley. A sale of the Lions is what is needed ...

Re: Eastern dominance?
I know it's still pretty early but the East vs West narrative has done a total 180 on what it was last year. Jun 26: Cgy over Ham, 24-23 Jun 27: Tor over Edm, 26-11 Jul 02: Ham over Wpg, 52-26 Jul 03: Mtl over Cgy, 29-11 Jul 04: Ott over BC, 27-16 East is 4-1 against the West and outscoring them 15...

Re: Lions at Ottawa July 4 - Game Day Thread
Clock management in the last two minutes was absolutely atrocious. They could have taken at least twenty seconds off the clock but got the play off early. With 40 seconds left, why punt it when the play clock is at 12 seconds? I knew as soon as they did that they would be giving up three befor the ...

Re: No more upper deck
As an Argo fan, I have few positive feelings about David Braley these days although I have never thought that positively about Braley. I will always be grateful that Braley stepped up to save teams when nobody else would but the problem with Braley is that he is good at saving a franchise but horrib...

Re: Let's suppose YOU owned the Lions.....
Season ticket renewals are going slowly so hopefully some of the ideas on this thread will soon be implemented. According to CKWX, only 65% of season tickets have so far been renewed for the upcoming season.

Jon Hameister-Ries
Does anyone on here watch MasterChef Canada? I never have until today and saw that none other than former B.C. Lion Jon Hameister-Ries is one of the 16 finalists on the show. On the most recent episode he made a nice-looking steak which helped him to advance to the round of 16. There was a lot of dr...

Re: NFL Super Bowl XLIX - Game Day Thread
I agree on the entertainment value in the game, but still shake my head at the KO's to start a hald or after a scoring play. Simply give the opposition the ball at the 20, it is a waste of time watching guys run down field only to watch teh ref blow the play dead. Perhaps it will take a large injur...

Didn't Ritch also coin the term "CaseyMania"? Sad to hear of his passing and especially after having a tough last few years.

Re: Seahawks' Michael Bennett Takes Jab at CFL on Media Day
How wonderful that the city of Vancouver is supporting the likes of Bennett and that jerk Lynch: http://blogs.vancouversun.com/2015/01/29/seahawks-12th-man-flag-flapping-all-across-canada/ This sudden love of all things Seahawk in Vancouver reminds me very much of what happened in southern Ontario ...

Re: Seahawks' Michael Bennett Takes Jab at CFL on Media Day
Have to love Bell Media. The 2 hour NFL Players Awards show gets broadcast in primetime on CTV last night. They also will show the 5 hour pre-game show in its entirety. God forbid they would actually put the Grey Cup game in their own country on its major national network. How wonderful. We can't e...
