Re: Retro Uniforms
The Argo-Bomber retro uniforms were even uglier than the game. I felt embarrassed as a fan to know that some unsuspecting viewers were likely tuning in and thinking this is a bush league. Even atom and pee wee teams have better looking uniforms. wow that's pretty harsh, and I just gotta say that if...

Re: Official 2008-09 Vancouver Canucks Season Thread
Battle Stations, General Quarters, this is NO drill, repeat this is NO Drill! Just a heads up, wake...it is NOT permitted to say that here. Diss the Lions all ya want, but Nuckies get a free pass. 8) That's a rule? I've been NOT following that rule for years  Besides, it's not really a diss wh...

Re: Retro Uniforms
Watching the Argo's vs Bombers game tonight I noticed the Argo cheerleaders/dance team were also wearing special/retro-ish uniforms, causing me to double check with sarahcandice as to the Felions attire for tomorrows game, and was informed that there will be no retro uni's on the sidelines. Did hear...

Re: Official 2008-09 Vancouver Canucks Season Thread
The canucks, like the last few years, will be incredibly hard to watch.....the canucks basically drove me to declare football as my #1 sport...i cant watch that drivel no more. Just because the Canucks have disappointed you recently doesn't mean that you need to bump hockey down a notch, maybe you ...

For those of you who still miss Sarah, she is featured in a PB calendar that is availible now, which also includes several other Canadians including Lana Tailor, and Anissa Holmes.

Great work as always Woody! A great way to brighten up any desktop
Any chance that if I could get some popular demand there might be a Cynthia wallpaper in the future?

Re: Charles Gets His Number
Apparently Roberts is quoted as saying that negotiations are still ongoing for the cost of the number, and Hill was seen wearing the #17 with the 7 covered up with tape at practice this week.

But when the seats at the 60,000-seat venue are a tenth of the price of the 18,000-seat venue...?Soundy wrote:I dunno about you, but I got pretty misty at that one.
You may not have noticed, but it's actually not as easy to sell out a 60,000-seat venue as it is to sell out an 18,000-seat venue.

Re: Official 2008-09 Vancouver Canucks Season Thread
I noticed in the Province today that the season opener (vs the Calgary Flames) will feature a tribute to Luc Bourdon. Hopefully the (well deserved) tribute to TL will be on another night. TL deserves his own night, as does the memory of Luc Bourdon.

Re: Labour Day Classics
Haven't seen a thread for it yet, so I'll just pose my question here, I'm watching the Ticats/Argo's game right now, it's in the third quarter, Printers has just ran in his second TD of the game, score is 26-21 Hamilton, now after the Printers go-ahead TD scramble the Ticats are to kick to the Argo'...

Re: Als 30 - Leos 25 Post Game Stats and Comments
even with the loss this was a great game against a good team. Great game? :sigh: Pray tell what game you were watching? 5 turnovers, no sacks, and unable to put the ball in the endzone for the win does not equal a great game in my books! For a team that SHOULD have been ravenous for a win they look...

Re: How about trading Joe Smith to Toronto for Michael Bishop?
Why not trade him for Brett Favre, he's looking for a team? Since we'll just pulling idea's out of our collective a***s, how 'bout we wait until Farve signs with Tampa Bay, then pick up Jeff Garcia? He has CFL experience, and it might put Wally back into his "old QB's who were solid in the pas...
