Matt Dunigan book

I guess the Winnipeg media is more on the ball than the Edmonton media. While the story has hit the 'net about the Dunigan book and how Matt was returning to Winnipeg to promote the book, the Edmonton media must have been napping. And corect me if I'm wrong, but didn't Matt play longer here than all...

Bring a hard hat Gerry. Although the Esk fans may be expecting a loss making it much easier to handle if the Lions get out front. Unnecessary (you're joking right Phil?). No-one is going to hassle a distinguished gentleman like Gerry at the game. Also, this isn't Calgary, where they sell beer in ca...

Oh please.

Yes I saw the smiley faces.

Ice fishing is over by then. And no one can take over my snow fort from me.

I'll see if the sled dogs are up to the extra company.

TD Manitoba I have pre-purchased in the past because it is a ticketed event and does tend to sell out and is really good. Uh Ken. You didn't go to Winnipeg. It was far from "really good". Stupid line-ups for tickets before you bought drinks and a different line-up (usually packed) to get ...

TRUE GRID

The play went very well Bran. Thanks for asking. It was sold out every show except for one (had the unfortunate 11:30 pm time slot. There are apparently not many folks up at that time on a Wednesday night), but even then they had 60 bums in the seats. It got great reviews in both our papers and the ...

Air Canada has also dropped their prices. $204 each way leaving/coming back on Tues/Wed/Sat $224 each way leaving/coming back on Mon/Thurs/Fri/Sun ya, but that is Air Canada 8) I won't use them if I don't have to. Lost baggage, late arrivals, grumpy staff are the norm. I do thank them for having th...

Thanks for the plug Dale!

I know you can see it on her site but here is the synopsis of what the play is about. "4 guys x 20 football seasons = 80 years of bonding, rituals, and winning. Subtract 1 guy, add a lovely stranger, and risk breaking the streak. Join these devoted fans as they lose and rediscover their faith d...

Uh Grey Cup newbies?

Some folks may be surprised by the cost of things at Grey Cup. I hate to sound glib, but Grey Cup costs what it costs. It is not a cheap time out. You have to pay to have a good time at the events unless you want to do your own thing and some of these locations are not as cheap as they are at home (...

We can't Dale. Linda and I have some haunts we just have to go to if we're in the Big Smoke. For us a must is the Horseshoe Tavern and the Wheatsheaf.

Like chicken wings? You have to go to the Wheatsheaf.

Yes, go to the CFL rooms but fit some pubs in. They are a must.

Spirit of Ed was unable to come to an agreement with the Winnipeg Trade & Conv Centre for a variety of reasons and wound up being at somewhat of an outpost close to the airport. That worked for us as the hotel Blue Fan arranged was literally over the back fence from the Spirit of Ed. But it did...

Congrats

on the advertising folks coming up with hilarious one page ads for Lions season tickets. You are blessed with creative folks having the contract for your team. I suppose your season tickets are things of art also? We have had boring, ugly tickets passed off as creativity the past few years. Good luc...

You can see those bands at the Hall of Fame when you go to Grey Cup this year. The Hockey Hall of Fame is fantastic (not really my sport, but I recognize a nice shrine when I see it) and close to GC action in downtown Toronto.
