Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Fina

Maas said after the game that he doesn’t regret his decision. At least he can spend the next 6 months thinking about it. Said he had confidence in his defence to force a 2 and out. If so, why did he gambled on 3rd down on at least occasions earlier. No confidence in his defence at that point. Poor ...

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

Argos all the way for me. Ricky Ray. Marc Trestman. Even James Wilder seems easy to like as a player and personality.

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

Stampeders coach Dave Dickenson lifted the west division championship trophy, but when offered to his players they all declined it. Let's see in seven days if that's a good omen since the Argonauts players did lift their trophy. Bo wanted nothing to do with that trophy. LOL Dickiey got handed the t...

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

Bizarre call by Maas.

FG means nothing.

Gotta take the shot at 1st down.

Still need a TD.

Gotta take that shot. Brain fart.

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

Glenn blows it.

Trestman sits on it.

Riders come back.

Ray wins it.

I have great respect for Ricky Ray.
.......

CGY looking awful. It looks good on Dickie. He has had too easy of a ride as a Head Coach.

Re: Playoff Thread - Edmonton vs. Winnipeg, Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan

Anyone else think this?

Ronnie Howard, Opie, lookalike for Dave Dickenson.

Coach Opie.

Re: Playoff Thread - Edmonton vs. Winnipeg, Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan

SSK @ TOR ... I very much like Ricky Ray, Marc Trestman and James Wilder. But I find I am rooting for Kevin Glenn to win a Grey Cup. EDM @ CGY ... I will always respect Hufnagel. I find Dickie not so easy to like as a coach, but he knows how to coach. I don't usually like Edmonton, mostly for past t...

Re: 10th team in Halifax - Braleys ulterior motives

This CFL fan would love to see a franchise in the Maritimes.

As to Braley hanging on to ownership of the Lions to collect on a share of the franchise fee, I cannot see it. Peanuts or chump change to a man with Braley's wealth, it seems to me.

Re: Football Operations: GM, Head Coach, Coaching Staff?

One CFL assistant who has been named as a head coaching candidate in Montreal is Ottawa OC Jaime Elizondo. His contract is up this year so he may be easier to sign than LaPolice. I’m not sure whether Elizondo or his predecessor Jason Maas is the architect of Ottawa’s offence but it is innovative an...

Re: Football Operations: GM, Head Coach, Coaching Staff?

http://lastwordonsports.com/2016/01/28/new-cfl-coach-movement-policy-stifles-growth/ The talk of compensation for coordinators leaving for a promotion to head coach on another team began with the Ottawa Redblacks’ Jason Maas, who left for the vacant Edmonton Eskimos head coach job. The Eskimos’ posi...

Re: Football Operations: GM, Head Coach, Coaching Staff?

Remember WCJ that after the Riders pilfered the entire Eskimo coaching staff and Thorpe tried to quit and jump immediately to Maas' staff Commish Orridge put in place a policy regarding coach movements in the offseason. Lapolice appears to be under contract for 2018. Yes BC or anybody else can seek...
