Re: Chase Claypool & the big BC receiver army
Matt Clark’s card shows him playing at 180 which sounds right to me. There was also a Matt Clarke on the team, who was the long snapper as I recall. His weight may have been transposed with Clark’s. Elgaard would consider himself a Vancouver guy. As mentioned he excelled in rugby at Magee and for th...

Re: Austin Hands off to Jones as HC; Art Briles Hired as Asst HC
I wonder if he had signed his contract? Would be costly for Hamilton.

Re: The decline of Vancouver sports media & its effect on Lions
In some markets, and nationally, Rogers largely ignores the CFL as it is an important TSN property.

Re: Rintoul is toast (grab the pitch forks and storm TSN 104
should be also be noted that MOJO couldn't come close to competing with 1040 when MOJO had the canucks rights. And 1040 didn't have the long standing established shows it has now. Maybe Jim Mullin will weigh in but I always thought MOJO (which had some terrible programming - solo Moj, solo Arthur G...

Getting rid of Schaad for the Whitecaps pbp might even be a bigger bozo move. That guy is great at that job. you gotta be kidding. i think he did some good and funny stuff on the radio around here over the years. but the sound of him calling a goal was like nails on a chalkboard... if the nails are...

Re: Tedford Eyeing Return to College
When he was at the end at Cal, Bears fans wanted him fired because they were worried about his health. I know that was a few years ago but I think he had a very serious case of burnout. I'm not really sure what happened in BC, but I think coaching under Wally would be difficult. He seems like a good...

Re: Lions in the local media
Might be getting my 1040 personalities mixed up Sammy but if memory serves me correctly Rintoul is an unabashed 49ers fan. that was the fired Matt Baker Rintoul is as well. This is where Bobby Ackles was missed. I say this respectfully; Ackles was like an old time carnival barker. He sold the sizzl...

Between Tillman and Dougie Gilmour being in the news this week, it's been a tough one for babysitters.

Sam was in poor shape at the veteran combine. I don't think he is very committed to football in any league.

SJ - with the biggest one they give you two tea bags.
Canada Post? Wal Mart?
I avoid both at all costs.

I haven't seen the issue of O'Connoor transferring back but it seems likely.
Syracuse had a QB from Windsor about ten years ago. He was the classic "looks good in the shower" guy. Big, big arm, but had an indifferent career.

Re: New Argo Boss Says NFL Coming To T.O....Eventually
Is he saying that he is going to bring them to Toronto? The article only has one quote from him where he describes it as inevitable. I read it as him saying that they need to strengthen the Argos presence and fan base now, with the expectation that the NFL will be there, someday. Considering he is p...

Re: Michael Sam signs 2yr deal with Alouettes
I think Sam is the opposite of Wake - very productive in college, but not an exceptional athlete (by football standards, not lionbacker poster standards).
Wake is a complete athletic freak. When you stand out from the pack like he does, you are in a different zone.
