Re: Empire Field Fan Experience Version 2.0

I'd say it's quite disappointing. You can't compare our attendance with Montreal's. Montreal was at capacity...they sold out. They couldn't possibly fit anymore fans in their building. If they have a bigger building they would have a higher attendance than us. Not capacity or a sellout for the Al's...

It was on the TSN web site as well, but the article has been pulled. Apparently he is still alive:

Re: Beer lines

The beer vendors with trays of beer were literally hijacked by people and sold out of beers before they were even ten feet from the beer tent. They started passing those groups around halftime but I never saw one in section 208. I missed the entire 3rd quarter lined up for beer, won;t be doing that ...

Re: Remembrance Day

I second Ballistic Bob. Great ceremony today downtown at Victory Square. My only beef was during the two minutes of silence, two diesel Translink buses went roaring by on Pender. Come on guys, show a little respect. And the CTV News Chopper would have been well advised to back off a bit ...

Re: It's Printers and Lulay Against Hamilton

If Printers starts, they have a chance. I can't qualify this but the offense seems to have more moxie when he's playing. I know they haven't won with him starting yet, but they almost did in Regina and the last Stamps game was close. Ti-Cats have good LB's, need to keep them guessing on pass or run ...

No argument here - see Grey Cup 2004.

Re: So whats the word on who will start at QB?

I think the only way Buck is out fast is if he is hurt. I like Jackson off the bench if it happens, he seems to do better in that scenario for whatever reason ...

Called Shaw and asked. TSN2 will be available in the digital channels in standard definition on channel 147 and in HD on channel 226 . So, if you just subscribe to their basic / classic cable packages, no soup for you!

Re: Tickets for Sale vs. Calgary (2) & vs. Saskatchewan (3)

Good luck getting $115 for a pair of tix for a pre-season game. The Lions are basically giving that game away for free to STH's via coupons with the ticket packages. Granted the coupons won't be premium seats, but it isn't exactly a premium game either ...

Re: CBC Bonehead Identified

Hockey Night in Canada was around before this song, and would do just fine without this song. HNIC made the song, not the other way around. CBC was stupid in using the song in instances where it had no right to do so, but I see the lawsuit and public posturing (conveniently the day after the Stanley...

Question about BC Ferries on Lions Game Days

Hey - do any of you Island Lionbackers know when BC Ferries announce what Lions game days they will be running late ferries for this year? Have a wedding to go to on the west coast of the Island on July 19 and people in town from Winnipeg for the wedding. The Bombers are here July 18 so it would be ...
