Re: Time heals, but wounds not forgotten for ex-Lion Damon A

I don't blame Damon for being upset that he was let go by the Lions in 2003, and using that as motivation for the next few years. I do blame him for holding on to the bitterness this long. Would Damon feel better if Wally made a public apology for how Damon's departure was handled? Not sure if there...

Arland Bruce done with Argos?

Sounds like he could be on the way out? Would be a nice addition to the Lions receiving corps...

I would like to see the black helmets and pants are great! Like that road look better than white helmets and orange pants.

Re: 48 Hours Later, Bishop on Waivers

O Line - IMO we are already deep at this position: Bates, Reid, Haji, then Valli, Plante, Haemeister, Buydens (at college), Stevenson coming next year from this year's draft. I thought that Hameister-Ries blew out his knee last offseason and retired (but stayed with the team to rehab the injusry)? ...

Didn't BC acquire Sask's 1st rounder in the 2009 draft?

Re: Congrats BC

BUT, what about the Lions dancing on the Mosaic Stadium logo before the game, and Otis Floyd taking a swing at Omarr Morgan after the Rider pregame introductions????? A) Why wasn't Floyd ejected or at least given a 15-yard penalty and B) Why didn't Wally control his team? Answer; Wally didn't want ...

Let's show Calgary who they are... "our little brothers"
They "want to be just like us"

Those comments should serve as fuel for the fire in Calgary this week.....

Re: Sept 20th Rematch

It is such a cliche, but this is the biggest of game of the year. :) We will find out a lot of things about the 2008 edition of the BC Lions after Saturday: - Are they going to be in the mix to host the west final or any playoff game? - Can they win on the road against the top teams in the league? -...

Re: Wally turns up the heat on his secondary

This morning on TEAM 1040, when asked to comment on his remarks about Banks - Wally candidly replied: "sometimes the truth hurts". Oh oh! Well hopefully that is enough motivation to get them focussed. There were too many openings in our secondary in the 4th quarter last week - that must c...

Re: Lions vs. Als Game Thread

Earlier today the question was asked if we play well and lose can you accept that. Well I guess this game falls into the category of acceptable, as a ton of issues seemed to be addressed, although the late TD by the D once again arose and a few bad penalties cost us some yardage. I don't consider 6...

Sure. Except for the last 3 seconds.
Short yardage execution has been lacking for the past couple of years, but this year it has been abyssmal.

Re: July 31: BC Lions at Edmonton Eskimos Game Day Thread

No one's on any ledge, all comments are astute and well-reasoned? Check the post above mine with the attached quote. A mere six games in, 3-3; not 0-6. And everyone else in the division has 3 wins too. We've played one game with a full effort this year. If that trend continues, I stand by the comme...

Re: POST GAME THOUGHTS 7/31/08

The second half was a complete meltdown on both sides of the ball. I am questioning whether Jarious can lead this team to a consistent effort. Honestly, his performance in the second half was brutal. The defence was brutal too, but he did NOTHING to help turn the momentum. Notice how many of his thr...

I'm starting to think our chances of playing in a playoff game are getting slim. Pathetic effort.
