Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Fina

Maas said after the game that he doesn’t regret his decision. At least he can spend the next 6 months thinking about it. Said he had confidence in his defence to force a 2 and out. If so, why did he gambled on 3rd down on at least occasions earlier. No confidence in his defence at that point. Poor ...

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

Bo Levi Mitchell will have to play his best game of the year to keep up with Mike Reilly and the Esks. Stamps know the Esks are on fire right - yet they seem to have that same sort of nonchalance they had in their last losing efforts. Now down 2 TDs. Will that wake them up. Adam Konar - now how did...

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

Also in the first half the Riders did zip to adjust to the rush which rendered KG useless.

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

I was shocked how poor the Riders mixed up the play calls with KG under pressure. TOR play calls have been far better than Riders until this series with Carter getting a pass and Lafrance play.

Finally Bridge is making a play.

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

IMO the RedBlacks made a fateful error in not utilizing William Powell more in the Eastern semi. I don’t think the Argos will be as foolish and I expect a hefty dose of James Wilder. I don’t think the Riders will be able to negate him and I expect he will be the difference in an Argos win. Plus I e...

Re: Playoff Thread - Conference Finals

RIDERS OVER ARGOS - Riders really firing on all cylinders now. Depends of course on how their DEF and STs play. Something tells me this Riders team has tons of confidence and lots to play for including their QB. ESKS OVER STAMPS - Esks on fire lately and I'm not sure which Stamps team will play tomo...

Re: Jennings to the NFL?

Found this old post on Dhaliwal's twitter account: Rick Dhaliwal‏ @DhaliwalSports · Nov 8 #BCLions quarterback Jonathan Jennings is getting interest from the NFL, talks already with the Packers and Vikings. I really find this hard to believe. The guy was terrible this year. If he had so much troubl...

Re: Lions ownership discussion thread

I don't want to sound like an apologist for Pezim, but the Stamps owner did renege on the huge money contract used to lure Flutie from B.C. And then subsequently the Argos paid more to Flutie than was sustainable. It's interesting though. I think Calgary's acquisition of Flutie was strictly for foo...

Re: Football Operations: GM, Head Coach, Coaching Staff?

Might as well add Kelly Bates as the O line coach to the fantasy coaching staff. He is currently coaching in Usports, I think. Bates certainly could be looking for new work soon. He's currently in NCAA Div II football as HC of the SFU Clan. The Clan has yet to win a game in the 3 seasons under Bate...

Re: Playoff Thread - Edmonton vs. Winnipeg, Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan

Maas seemed to keep his cool and control today. Either he figured it out on his own as it's playoff time and if he's showing he's rattled it can lead to his team over hyped up and taking bad penalties or his GM Brock Sunderland had a word with him. You had to know the Esks were going to be on fire ...

Re: Eskimos: change your name

I always refer to them as the Esks, so why not change the name to Eskies? I don't know what a Eskie is, but then again I don't know what a REDBLACK is either although in the warped PC world that we live in, REDBLACK could be perceived as a slur on two races. Someone would be offended as "eskie" in ...

Saskatchewan playing good football, Ottawa doesn’t look ready at all
Riders have been playing while RBs practicing and watching.

Even if Spencer caught that for a TD instead of dropping it, it'd have been too little too late.

Riders better be careful. Sure INTS being dropped.

They need to calm down it seems.

28 to 14 is not a sure thing for the Riders.

Re: Playoff Thread - Edmonton vs. Winnipeg, Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan

What a start to the game. Sask scores and up 7. Ott. scores and up 8 -7. Diontae Spencer on fire. Huge return on Kickoff and then first play on OFF he scores TD - Combined yards: 93 . Now he's the go to guy with #82 GE hurting big time and looks like he might be out. Sask scores and up 14 -8. Sask d...

Re: Football Operations: GM, Head Coach, Coaching Staff?

I am predicting that next week or it might be after the GC, Wally announces his retirement and appoints Neil McEvoy the GM. At this point it is the only thing that makes sense. I agree. I would prefer Ed Hervey, but it is impossible to go through a proper search and hiring process under the circums...
