Re: Chinese fans, listen up
a dumb comment to be sure but these types of comments will only bother you IF ..... YOU let them the choice is yours! Yea the whole world thinks the "C" word is inoffensive. Whether it hurts some people or not these are words designed to hurt. That's why I agree he should be punished. Ign...

Re: Messam refuses to reel in his game
If anybody can straighten Messam up it's Kavis Reed. If not then he will be benched. I expect a bit of sour grapes from Lion fans who would like to pounce on any mistakes he makes. So far his postives far outweigh his negatives so it was a good trade for the Esks.

OTHO, it could be the product of the team with a wide lead easing up in which case appearances are misleading.Whisperin' Jimmy wrote: In fact, we seem to play better once it's too late,!

Re: Game Day Thread - Eskimos @ Lions, October 16, 2010
Let's just play out the season. Weed out next year's starters from the pretenders and get on with it. What a waste of a f***** season. Last week and this week sums it up. This team and this coaching staff, simply are bad. If the Lions do qualify for the post-season, they should decline due to it be...

Re: Where will Casey end Up?
I think this is probably a washout point for CP. I hope he finds success and satisfaction wherever he goes. Some of his wounds were self inflicted, but he played hard on the field and he played hurt. I won't make cracks about a guy working in fast food. Most of us have had some tough periods or car...

Lions would have lost the game long ago if Brinks were pulled out early.

Re: Embarassing
Yes, many players made mistakes in this game that cost us the win. That being said, the buck stops at Wally who is GM. It was his decision to go with Printers as his #1.When he didn't work out, we were left with an inexperianced Lulay. Our D has improved, our Offence has got worse for three years s...

I believe there is the IFL whatever that is.JohnHenry wrote:
It cost NFL teams virtually nothing to sign CFL players for training camp and preseason. We are the only football league left for the NFL scouts to scour, and as a result we're seeing an exodus.

Re: A Sad Loss--Sorry Rider Fans!!!!!
Exciting game, too bad the Riders had to lose like that but I am glad for the Als. There's no guarantee that the Riders will be back of course (see Winnipeg unfinished business), but the CFL will be fun next year regardless.

Re: 2009 - 97th Grey Cup Game Day Thread
The one positive thing for the Riders is that they will be very motivated to win it again next year. The have a solid core and now a QB with experience in the playoffs. Having said this, anything can happen in the next 12 months as Winnipeg fans can attest to when they lost in the GC and never were ...

Re: CFL Expansion Goals For Eternity!
That would be a great dream. To have it happen the league would be pretty diluted with 16 teams though. I would argue for a few American teams like Anchorage and Spokane.

Lions were lucky to be playing against the worst QB in the league.

BC was lucky to have come so close. Montreal gave the Lions 2 gift TDs with turnovers deep.

Re: WIL and SAM explanation?
Did linebackers used to be called Monstermen? A blitz was called a Red Dog etc. I always wonder where these terms originate. Does a weakside linebacker need to be a faster more agile player than the SAM if he has to cover more ground? Do you put your best LB in as a weakside or strongside?

Re: WIL and SAM explanation?
ok, so strong side varies with the offensive formation but does that mean the linebackers switch positions when there is an over balance on one side? Or do they stay set in their area and thus a WIll can become a SAM?
