Re: 2024 B.C. Lions Schedule
TSN announcing they will only be televising two exhibition games including an Elks vs Lions Friday night game. Sheds a little light on the lack of interest when only 2 of 9 games are aired and must have been something agreed upon during the last negotiation for broadcast rights. Hopefully CFL+ will ...

Re: Thoughts on getting Stanback?
Interesting players perspective on the power rankings with the Lions ranked near the top of each prediction. Bit of a shot from Eugene Lewis whose Elks were consistently in the lower ranks. A couple of direct comments of higher expectations for William Stanback sounded promising. Staying healthy is ...

Re: Training camp 2024
Mentioning early season play taking time for teams to gel made me wonder if it is a coincidence Winnipeg plays Ottawa twice in the first 5 games.

Re: Training camp 2024
When the CFL went from a 16 game season with 4 pre-season games to 18 games and only 2 pre-season games, it felt like now we have 2 pre-season games that count in the standings. That said, I don't really have a problem with the current 18 game set up, but I just have to accept the fact that early s...

Re: Yikes! Lions 2024 potential free agents
Great to see Shawn Lemon go out on his own terms albeit surprisingly after signing an extension with the Als back in December. It makes Montreal an even more logical landing spot for Betts if it doesn’t work out in Detroit, especially with their other starting DE from last season — impressive young...

Re: Training camp 2024
Interesting roster addition with Joe Beckett. 6'4" linebacker.

Re: Lions' receivers
Reminds me of the old expression there are always two reasons for most things and one is usually a good reason. Measurables are easy to point to as a basis for a decision. Many said the Philpots were too slow. Herdmans got the same rap at their combine. Not every wide out in the league is a burner. ...

Re: Lions' receivers
Adding Patmon makes 20 wr on the roster headed for camp give or take a few that may yet be added or sent packing. The anticipation of which one steps into the starting role is already quite intriguing. To think there might be two new faces with little to no tape for teams to study could lend itself ...

Re: Question re: Winnipeg Stadium
Then again if I was working with Hambone's budget I might consider the club seats. IMO Bombers are not immune to declining attendance issues any more than other teams. They give away large blocks of tickets on a regular basis to pump up the numbers. Seldom are the upper corners full on games shown o...

Re: Question re: Winnipeg Stadium
Hi all. Looking into going to see a road game in Winnipeg this summer. Has anyone here been to IG Field (Now apparently Princess Auto Stadium) and have any tips on seats. I haven’t been able to find where (which side / end) the visitors bench is. Thoughts appreciated. I've been to Princess Auto Sta...

Re: Lions' receivers
Searching the exclusive negotiation window states that once a player declares he wants to play in the CFL the rights holder has 10 days to offer him an ELC where upon they retain his rights for another calender year. It's a ridiculous rule 100% in favor of the team. I saw posted on another forum tha...

Realized my mistake 10 seconds after hitting submit and didn't think of deleting the post before now. I'm not a big starter of threads and did search before proceeding. Probably posting more often than I need to be as is. Mods can either delete the thread or move it over and my apologies for the err...

Re: Lions' receivers
One thing I noticed about Lulay vs Jon Jennings is how he used to use the entire receiving corp. The open man got the ball. With Jennngs it seemed two receivers got most of the targets. Reilly was kind of the same way. V.A. has his own style that despite being effective sometimes appears related to ...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024
I think supply and demand worked in the Lions' favour for this event. The Redblacks are a tough sell at B.C. Place. With limited supply in Victoria, the Lions put a premium price on tickets. I'm not going to the game so I gave back my two tickets, which cost $25 each as a season ticketholder. The m...
