Re: Training camp 2024
B.C. secondary will be one of the best in the league. Peters, Sayles, Evans will literally be hard to beat with good options for the other two spots. They won't need to go National but maybe can if Bagayogo can win the corner job. Kent sounds like a solid player that will stick as well. For the O, I...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
Good signing by the Argos adding Nick Arbuckle imo. Smart, experienced guy who knows how to progress through his reads plus the good relationship with Dinwiddie will help. Criticized for his arm in the past. He's on his way to a career in coaching imo so probably a good back up to Dukes as he transi...

Re: Lions' receivers
Messed this up but please bear with me as I don't think I can redo it. Since before free agency DC you seem fixated on unnecessarily adding some other veteran receiver.[/i] Godwin? One has to ask why Hamilton cut him at the start of camp. They gave him a $5K signing bonus and he was set to make $93....

Re: Lions' receivers
After watching today's scrimmage and the past 4 days of practice there is zero reason to go scrap-heaping somebody else's cast-offs. Fulgham and Eberhardt aren't just looking like leading candidates but are looking like seasoned vets who came to camp with spots locked up. Eberhardt made a highlight...

Re: Training camp 2024
The Lions debuted a new-look FanFest featuring three separate events on Saturday, Play with the Pros for kids in the morning, a scrimmage at Hillside Stadium in the afternoon and a downtown block party with food, games, vendor booths, entertainment and player autographs in the evening. Previously a...

Re: Lions' receivers
It will be interesting to see if someone of note gets cut from other teams and tempt the Lions to bring another receiver in. Sounds to me as Fulgham and Eberhardt are leading candidates to fill the openings left vacant by Rhymes and Whitehead. No depth to speak of behind either. Same goes for Cottoy...

Re: Current CFL Rules after a successful Field Goal - Discussion
Happy to hear no further changes planned for the rules related to kickoffs. Still feel the 40 is too much field position not earned after a field goal to give up. Nice to see they gave it some thought and made a good decision. My guess is you will see more teams gamble on third down close to the goa...

Re: League Thows The Book at Chad Kelly
Fairly decisively worded comment from Chad Kelly as he steps back from camp seems like a positive move at this point. No doubt there is lots still going on behind the scenes. I would like to see him back. Highly doubt the plaintiff is paying her own legal fees as a civil case would be expensive. Str...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
I think Winnipeg is going to 6 game list bighill all season, so his contract doesn’t count against cap. Winnipeg is a confident bunch but even the die hards must be getting concerned. Training camp reports from Winnipeg mentioned Bighill looking heavier than before and now with the six game it appe...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
Sorry Don, but I have to disagree. Bo has hung on too long for love of game. Arm strength isn't there, no mobility, accuracy meh...he's a shadow of his former self (leadership is still there though but that can't win you a lot of football games on its own). I can see the same thing happening with B...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
I want to see Bo Levi successful in the CFL but I found it surprising that Hamilton bet big time signing him when Calgary who will no doubt hire him to coach someday make the decision that Bo was too risky and possibly wanted that higher money for others. Bo is a slam dunk to coach with the Stamps ...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
A couple of curious things about Morrow. Calgary did have concerns about his wrist at free agency time. That was 3 months ago and they still haven't circled back. Currently their RB room is loaded with mostly NAT fullbacks. They still have Mills and Logan but Logan is their premiere returner. They ...

Re: Shawn Lemon Appeals His Gambling Suspension
Mike O'Shea usually does a good job of staying away from making public statements but it seems the Bombers are being fairly outspoken regarding off season developments this year. All good in Winnipeg though and they really didn't know Andrew Harris was taking a supplement to enhance his virility. I ...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
Every GM has to look at these FA decisions on a case by case basis. What needs are they trying to fill and what sort of priority did they place on them. Having been willing to let Carey go to make room for Mills Calgary had to be looking at more as depth/insurance behind Mills. Whether they got him...

Re: CFL News re: TC's 2024- Not BC Lions
Regarding taking a physical as a free agent in the process of signing with a new team, Jamal Morrow was one with a lingering issue that stopped Calgary from signing him. Not saying the Riders were not aware of J.E-C issue.
