Re: Lions' Post Season and on into 2015
Sorry if it's been mentioned somewhere already, but are the Lions any closer to confirming where their "home" preseason game is going to be played?

Re: No more upper deck
Swangard is a far more sensible destination if they're sold on playing it in Vancouver. But since they're "the Pride Of All B.C., " what about Centennial Stadium in Victoria ? Unless they're bent on making the entire Island Seahawks fans? And if they want minimal upheaval, what about Hill...

Re: Lions have signed Jyles as TC barometer.....
I was thinking the same thing Hambone. Clearly having some CFL experience in your QB's at camp is crucial to evaluating the rest of the talent, so signing Jyles makes sense. Perhaps Wally is waiting it out with Ottawa, who knows. I will say this, for all the times I've questioned moves by Buono, I c...

Re: Lions have signed Jyles as TC barometer.....
Is anyone here really going to say they would be comfortable with Steven Jyles as the main QB if Lulay got hurt? I would rather have stuck with Elliot. I'd be more comfortable with Jyles than any other backup on the Lions roster including Elliot. He has 8 years experience in the CFL and started 28 ...

Re: Blue Jays want grass....Argos moving?
If I'm a CIS team, why would I want a 24-30,000 seat stadium on campus? You'll never fill it and it doesn't serve your own needs. Perhaps a good question for the U of Manitoba Bisons :) York has a 12,500 seat tennis court on campus. I'm sure they're open to a nicer football stadium as well. Ask the...

Re: Blue Jays want grass....Argos moving?
Where else the Argos can play is another matter. Ideally, you'd expand Varsity. I've also read tell of York. Neither is ideal. With the past redesign of Varsity, it looks impossible to add seating on the one side of the field. York looks like the best bet without building a whole new stadium. My un...

Re: Tillman is back — as Hamilton consultant
I wish I could find something on the net to support it, swear I saw it...but again, that means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Regardless, Hamilton has added an asset when it comes to contacts & experience in the game. For Tillman, this is an opportunity to ease back into the game and re-...

Re: Tillman is back — as Hamilton consultant
I recall what happened when Jacques came back here from Edmonton. At the time he was officially billed as receivers coach but it was widely believed (on here at least) that he was a de facto OC in all but name, and that this arrangement was at least partly because it was believed that would mean Ed...

Agree, cromartie. I think Desjardins is a what the franchise needs in the front office.

Re: Ottawa Franchise GM
(Re one ex-Ottawa-GM ... Since the New Year has come, and Eric Tillman has not spoken out, I am wondering if his firing, with pay, from the Eskimos, included a no talk agreement until ... whenever?) I would believe the silence is more of Tillman's own strategy, not something forced on him by the Es...

Re: Football Gameplan's Wk 6 Preview - BC vs Argos
For me, I think the game comes down to what Andrew Harris does or doesn't do. If he's on it, that'll open up the receivers. Should be a great game.

Re: what a time to fumble
Jyles has averaged 14 yards rushing per game and has fumbled 3 times in 12 carries according to cfl.ca. This is not the type of quarterback (or offense) Tillman promised the fans when he traded Ricky Ray.
