Re: Calgary 21 - BC 17, Post-game Stats and Comments
"Travis Lulay had a good four games but if he had continued to play, our offensive predictability combined with his tendencies would result in poorer play." Not necessarily. Go with the hotter hand. JJ wants to go downfield, that's why we've been facing 3 man rush and everybody dropping ba...

Re: Calgary 21 - BC 17, Post-game Stats and Comments
. This year, our offence continues to be above average in most areas despite Jennings missing several games. Not too many teams will be able to sustain success for long without their starting QB. Jones has been a good coordinator by almost any measurement. I keep hoping for more from Washington's D...

Re: Lions vs. Calgary
Hey Blitz, I think you are wrong on Lulay. He's still pretty darn good and I'll take Kahri's assessment over yours. “So far, so good. Guys are in a much better position than they were last year, especially at the quarterback position. Jonathon [Jennings] is more comfortable, Travis [Lulay] is as com...

Re: Jovan could be on his way out of the Den
I would much rather be paying Olifioye $200,000 because he not only be be a starter on our offensive line but an exceptional as welll as flexible starter who would make our team better for 2017 than the alternative of not being here this season and forward. Wally didn't ask Lulay to take a pay cut ...

Re: Midseason stats
Thanks taking the time to do this research B.C. Fan. Interesting stuff! I really don't see much of a difference in our offensive scheme, for this season so far, under Khari Jones, and the offensive scheme used by Cortez last season. Last season, we had Lulay as our starter for the first half of the...

Re: One name off BC's pending FA list.
Manny's comments support my argument that his poor play prior to Jennings taking over at QB was about him not wanting play for Tedford. We may never hear the full story but I think Tedford really lost the room when he would not give Jennings a chance. Remember, it was only because of injury that Je...

Re: Negotiation List Quarterbacks - Greg McGhee
We'll see how this turns out. He was the 76th ranked quarterback of his class according to NFLDraftscout. I know theres always diamonds in the rough though. The NFL could care less about a quarterbacks color the way.

Guys, If it were all only so easy. I'll support these guys no matter what happens. Although I do suspect we may see some un Wally-like moves when it comes to loyalty hirings/firings.

Re: Question mark at pivot for Lions
This really sounds dire. It sounds as though you believe that Lulay was sufficiently impaired as a result of last season's injury to be less effective as a passer this season (before the present injury). Now, with another shoulder injury, should we expect Lulay to be even less effective next year as...

Re: Question mark at pivot for Lions
Willes: The plain fact is Lulay hasn’t been the same quarterback since he injured the same right shoulder against Hamilton in Week 16 of last season. Prior to that, he was regarded as the CFL’s best quarterback. Since that injury, he’s been average in a league where you need exceptional quarterback...

Re: What's the CFL Protocol for Bye Weeks?
Another eye brow raiser was the post game comment of MB that he doesn't 'give a damn' what people think of what they are doing in games. He is fine with the team. Boy, I couldn't agree more. That's not what a coach should be saying publicly. At a time when the team is striving for better fan turnou...

Re: They still remember Lulay in Bozeman
I also met some people in Montana who remembered Dave Dickenson when he played for MSU's arch rival University of Montana in Missoula, Mt. They knew that Dickenson had had a great career in Canada that ended early due to concussions and were pleased to hear that he is doing very well as a OC in Cal...

Re: Wally's toughest decision: Geroy Simon - Lowell Ullrich
Pretty tough bunch of critics we all are. We were 5-0 w/o Geroy and Arland out. The young guys just have more burst and explosiveness. Treat the old guys well and try to convince them that father time has caught up with them. Lulay's better than what many on here say - most gm's in the league would ...

Re: Jacques is going to tweak the offence ... Lowell Ullrich
Lulay hasn't been great, but he's managed the game well and has been clutch in the last few minutes in most games. When I hear a QB has been effective "managing" a game, it's really coach's speak or code for, "my QB sucks, but at least he didn't screw up." Unfortunately, I don't...

Re: Lions 20 - Bombers 17 Post Game Stats and Comments
There's no problems criticizing players who aren't playing well. Right now Travis seems to be struggling. He is playing well enough that he hasn't hurt the team, but games like last night where we should have blown out the opponent, we just squeaked by. Even last week against Saskatchewan there wer...
